The Cutting Journey
Advanced cutting courses for qualified hairstylists.
Carlton Hair provides the best platform for the stylist-in-training to advance their creativity and
skills to world class status. Our creative student hubs are based in Johannesburg, Pretoria,
Cape Town and Durban, and offer internationally-accredited courses for budding stylists.
Our facilitators are internationally trained each year, keeping them up to date with the latest trends and fashion in hairdressing.
Our cutting courses are designed to provide students with a strong foundation in hair design and are ideal for anyone wishing to advance their career in hairdressing. The Barbering course gives the stylists an incredible eye for attention to detail, thereby allowing stylists to work closer to the head which strengthens not only their barbering work, but their overall cutting ability. We have updated this barbering course and extended it by a day to include clippering. Creating on-trend fades becomes simple when you explore the decision-making process and have an understanding of the height and shapes of fading.
The Collection Cut and Colour course was created with the aim of giving the stylists a creative
edge by expanding on their existing cutting knowledge, exploring concepts, cut, colour formulas and placements.
A special acknowledgement has to be made to the vision and passion of Pedro Inchenko and his team at AllilON. Each year they inspire the South African hairdressing industry by revealing new possibilities in expressing creativity. Their vision has strengthened Carlton Hair Academy’s objective to spread the same wisdom and passion to others.
