Structure: 1 Day per week at the college and 4 days per week workplace practical experience at a Carlton Hair salon
Kit: All brushes, combs, scissors, blades and clips, as well as a clipper, dryer, iron, mannequin head and holder, cape, apron, spray bottle, USB memory stick and a bag needed for a successful career in hairdressing.
- A personal interview with a representative of the Carlton Academy
- Entrance exam
- High school Grade 10 is accepted, but Grade 12 graduates are preferred
- International applicants with a valid student visa
- International applicants must also provide proof of high school graduation or equivalency certificate

Price: R95 000 (kit R12 000) Possible employment
Duration: 12 Months at the academy and 24 months in the workplace practical experience as per legislation.
Structure: 4 Days per week at the college for 12 months. Thereafter you are required to gain employment in a SETA registered salon to gain your workplace practical experience. Carlton Hair offers our full-time students the opportunity to do their workplace practical experience in one of our prestigious salons located in major shopping centres across South Africa.

In the workplace practical experience: Fridays 09:00 – 16:00
