THE COUNTRY’S FOREMOST HAIR ACADEMY DEDICATED SOLELY TO TRAINING AND QUALIFYING HAIR STYLISTS
The academy is registered on the IVQ framework from City & Guilds. It offers an International British Hairdressing qualification, which is recognised in 80 countries worldwide. The diplomas are locally defined as Diploma 2 in Women’s Hairdressing (South Africa) and Diploma 3 in Women’s Hairdressing (South Africa). The academy is also registered with SAQA and accredited with QCTO in an Occupational certificate in hairdressing – 514101000.

MINA CUP
Nelson Mandela fought for social justice for 67 years, and so from Wednesday 12 July to Tuesday 18 July 2017, Carlton Hair SA sold over 1000 blow dries, each for only R67. Combined, the Carlton Hair Academies and Carlton Hair salons made R 95 340. All proceeds from the campaign were used to purchase Mina cups. The Mina cups purchased were donated to all our part-time learners, the Christel House school in Cape Town and charities put forward by the Mina organisation.
Mina Menstrual Cup is a sustainable, life changing solution to millions of girls around the world who cannot afford sanitary products
CHRISTEL HOUSE
Equal access to education is an important focus at the Carlton Hair Academy, which is why we’ve teamed up with Davines South Africa to sponsor our time and resources to the Education for Life project. Carlton Hair Academy educators have graciously offered their time to impart their hairstyling knowledge onto learners at the Christel House school in Cape Town.

SOUTH AFRICAN FASHION WEEK
Carlton Hair is the official hair partner of South African Fashion Week, underwritten by Davines hair products. The event is arguably one of the biggest fashion affairs in the SA socialite calendar, happening twice a year in April and October. As part of the 3-year contract between the two groups, Carlton Hair stylists provide all hair styling for the models during the fashion shows, allowing for an unrivalled opportunity for academy students to gain invaluable experience into the face-paced industry of fashion and beauty.
CANSA
Cancer awareness and research is a cause that is very close to our hearts, which is why, every year, Carlton Hair runs the October CANSA promotion – all customers who donate 22cm of their hair in that month receive a free haircut and blow dry at Carlton Hair.
In October 2017, we cut 1364 pony tails across South Africa. All hair was donated to CANSA, The Cancer Association of South Africa, who make and distribute over 2000 wigs each year to cancer patients who have lost their hair
