Campus Life

Cape Town

The Cape Town campus is located in Claremont (the ‘Mont’ to the locals) in the heart of the Southern Suburbs. The bustling area boasts an array of coffee houses and cafes, which students can frequent for lunch time snacks, a host of pizza houses (a student’s favourite meal?), a buzzing student nightlife for after hour fun, and a swanky shopping centre – Cavendish Square also houses a multi-screen cinema house.

Johannesburg

The Johannesburg Academy’s home is a period cinema that has been re-engineered into a high-tech, creative lab with training areas on the ground level, and a suspended metal gantry housing glass offices with walkways on a second level. Students receive practical training at the specifically designed workstations situated in the double volume atrium of the headquarters and are lectured on theory in an electronically equipped lecture theatre upstairs.

Home to the real Jozi food market, the Johannesburg hair academy is nestled on the stylish Greenside strip alongside an array of restaurants, bistros and chic accommodation. As the second largest city in Africa and the business hub of South Africa, Johannesburg is definitely a prime location for a stylist-in-training to kick off his/her career.

Durban

Situated on the north coast of Durban in KwaZulu-Natal near Umhlanga, the Durban hair academy boasts the coastal life – surfing, snorkelling and water sports. The laid-back city is home to palm trees, warm weather and lush green scenery, making it a student’s paradise. The hair academy lives in the Carlton Hair La Lucia salon, in La Lucia Shopping Mall, which hosts plenty of sumptuous lunch spots and ample parking.

Pretoria

The site of the Voortrekker Monument, the Union Buildings and Super Sport Park, Pretoria is rich in cultural heritage and comradery. When not occupied with school work, students can explore the botanical gardens or the numerous art galleries in the area. The Pretoria hair academy is located in the Carlton Hair Parkview salon and is surrounded by tons of foodie joints dotted around the area. This small student hub is perfect for those who are looking for more of a one-on-one touch.
